Throw in the Euston manifesto, pro-war "left" and you've got a party!Donhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09909379290909753137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1149261525052576552006-06-03T01:18:00.000+10:002006-06-03T01:18:00.000+10:00Some folks on the left don't like to talk about it...Some folks on the left don't like to talk about it, but there is the very important issue of Democratic politicians pretending that voting fraud is a conspiracy theory.

It's tempting to buy into the frame that Republicans suck and are preventing the Dems from riding in to save the day. The truth is that both parties suck really bad (though the Repubs are worse). IMO, Kerry tanked the election. That whole campaign was garbage. He was playing nice with a guy who lied to start an invasion and sat on his ass in a classroom while US citizens were dying.

The best theory I've heard (to explain why the Democratic party hasn't gone nuts over Diebold) is that the DLC is in cahoots with the same crowd that is manipulating elections. Not the RNC but the neocon crowd or whatever faction is supporting the neocon agenda.Trackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387081215729592952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1149259447216671452006-06-03T00:44:00.000+10:002006-06-03T00:44:00.000+10:00And more PalastAnd more PalastDonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09909379290909753137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1149248417313176332006-06-02T21:40:00.000+10:002006-06-02T21:40:00.000+10:00don - im scared too. gores' " violent revolution" ...don - im scared too. gores' " violent revolution" comment is an INCREDIBLE step.

i reluctantly realised that this was our 'best' chance back in 20003

kudos to brad for keeping this issue on the front-burnerlukeryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13280906371216516750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1149245219661940062006-06-02T20:46:00.000+10:002006-06-02T20:46:00.000+10:00When anyone starts on about chances for Democrat g...When anyone starts on about chances for Democrat gains, or taking one or both houses of Congress in November, this is the stuff I think of: the RS article, Mark Crispin Miller's book, Palast's articles, most of what you see on BradBlog. It's all quietly terrifying because it's there, it's documented, and it gets no mainstream news media play. 2000 was a scam, 2004 was an outright robbery, and no one realizes not only is the silver missing, but the bastards took the alarm system too.

From a recent NY Mag interview with Al Gore:

Does he, like many Democrats, think the [2000] election was stolen?

Gore pauses a long time and stares into the middle distance. “There may come a time when I speak on that,” Gore says, “but it’s not now; I need more time to frame it carefully if I do.” Gore sighs. “In our system, there’s no intermediate step between a definitive Supreme Court decision and violent revolution.”

He knows exactly what's going on.
