We are taken from the general public, for various reasons, and we put our lives at risk for the rights we have. To accuse us of such this is morally dispicable, as well as being incredibly naive, considering you are not exposed to anything remotely similar to what we go through day after day in the middle east. When you are qualified to judge the troops (have been one), then feel free to post what you like. Until then, your simply making statements about people that you don't really understand. I hope you at least consider this before dismissing it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1166682300633390432006-12-21T17:25:00.000+11:002006-12-21T17:25:00.000+11:00ewastud - i'm not sure i agree with this element: ...ewastud - i'm not sure i agree with this element: "the safe assumption is that the "civil war" is being deliberately provoked by our own forces in false flag operations."

it's taken them three years to sign on to this nomenclature - but i generally agree with yuor comments.lukeryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13280906371216516750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1166681278352126882006-12-21T17:07:00.000+11:002006-12-21T17:07:00.000+11:00When our leading propaganda organs in this country...When our leading propaganda organs in this country like GE-owned NBC, the NYT, and WP agree what there is a civil war in Iraq, the safe assumption is that the "civil war" is being deliberately provoked by our own forces in false flag operations. We already caught red-handed a British unit enaged in it, and then they had to forcibly break their comrade out of an Iraqi prison to save their crooked little necks.

That was really excellent talk by Fisk on Democracy Now. I urge everyone to read it and save it for posterity.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1166672602930920922006-12-21T14:43:00.000+11:002006-12-21T14:43:00.000+11:00thanks steven"In fact, I imagine the use of death ...thanks steven

"In fact, I imagine the use of death squads and such tactics would be common to divide the enemy. "

i think that Fisk's opinion here is that 'someone' (i think he's talking abuot the israelis) have actually been using false flag ops not to 'divide the enemy' in this particular war - but to actually CREATE the war - i.e. his position is that the 'enemy' being 'divided' is actually 'iraq' - and that the israelis have actually been using false flag ops from the beginning to foment a civil/sectarian war.

mission accomplished.lukeryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13280906371216516750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194776.post-1166663178724154822006-12-21T12:06:00.000+11:002006-12-21T12:06:00.000+11:00I thought there was a lot of evidence, not just a ...I thought there was a lot of evidence, not just a suggestion, that the U.S. organizes such "false flag" efforts. So here,

"...Then, faced with a losing war against Salvadoran rebels, the U.S. government funded or supported "nationalist" forces that allegedly included so-called death squads directed to hunt down and kill rebel leaders and sympathizers. Eventually the insurgency was quelled, and many U.S. conservatives consider the policy to have been a success—despite the deaths of innocent civilians and the subsequent Iran-Contra arms-for-hostages scandal."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6802629/site/newsweek/

I remember hearing about cases where Iraqis were asked to step away from their cars so that U.S. agents could load them up with explosives, and then told to drive to some checkpoint further up the road.

In fact, I imagine the use of death squads and such tactics would be common to divide the enemy. I remember that the use of such tactics has been considered for some time. So,

"...Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities. The plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba’s then new leader, communist Fidel Castro. America’s top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: “We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba,” and, “casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation.” "

http://dissidentnews.wordpress.com/2006/09/08/false-flag-operations-declassified-military-documents-show-how-us-government-planned-terrorist-attacks-against-its-own-citizens-yahoo-news/

Isn't the issue here, is there nothing we won't do to get our way?
