Petty Officer First Class David M. Tapper died of wounds received in Afghanistan. He took part in the rescue.
Lance Cpl. Sok Khak Ung was killed in a drive-by shooting. He was also part of the rescue team.
Spc Josh Daniel Speer died when his car crashed into some trees for no apparent reason. He was part of the rescue team.
Kyle Edward Williams, who worked in the same company as Lynch, died of "suicide".

Seeing as how 'Ground Zero' was the site of a mass murder, the actions of the federal investigators amounted to the willful, deliberate destruction of evidence in a criminal investigation.
If the World Trade Center towers were brought down with explosives, then an extensive amount of advance work had to be done to wire the buildings. Such an operation would have had to be run through the Center's security apparatus, since that is the entity given unrestricted access to the buildings, and, of equal importance, the entity with the authority to restrict the access of others.
And yet the Republican Party - competing against a full slate of candidates from not just the Democratic Party, but from the Green Party, the Libertarian Party, the Natural Law Party, the Peace and Freedom Party, and the American Independent Party, along with independents of various stripes - was able to capture the imagination of some 62% of California's voters. Amazingly enough, they were able to split the vote between two of their candidates and still win handily.
The candidate was dragging so much heavy baggage that, had he been subject to the kinds of devastating character attacks that the morality police on Fox News specialize in, he would surely have disappeared as quickly as he had appeared. The Oui magazine interview alone contained enough raw ammunition to fuel months, if not years, of bile-spewing by the entire nationwide pack of frothing-at-the-mouth 'talk radio' blowhards.

Speaking of Rove, the "outsider" candidate reportedly met with him in April of this year. In September of last year, the "outsider" candidate was escorted by Warren Buffet to the Rothschild family manor to meet Lord Rothschild. In May 2001, during the California energy 'crisis,' the "outsider" candidate met with Enron CEO Ken Lay and 'junk bonds' trader Michael Milken -- two of the most successful corporate criminals of all time.
All things considered, it is fairly safe to say that the candidate was a longshot, at best. Few Democrats could be expected to cast their votes for a racist, sexist, lying Nazi with ties to the Bush administration and the California energy rip-off. And few Republicans could be expected to toss their votes to a candidate who has spoken in much greater detail about the size of his, uhmm, 'running mate' than he has about his solutions to the problems facing the state of California.
The Wiesenthal Center is, of course, world renowned as a fiercely dedicated Nazi-hunting organization. A Nazi-hunting organization, it should be noted, is not the same thing as a Nazi-catching organization. The Wiesenthal Center is focused exclusively on hunting for Nazis. It hasn't had much luck actually catching Nazis, what with only tens of thousands of them left at large after the war.
But why, if the election was fraudulent, which it certainly seems to have been, would the rigged results not have been more credible? Why nearly a 20 point advantage over his nearest opponent? Why not, say, 39% for the front-runner, 37% for his challenger, 13% for the other Republican, and the rest spread among the also-rans? Why the landslide?
the political establishment can now claim that the candidate is entering office with a mandate from voters -- although it is anyone's guess what exactly that mandate is, since nobody who voted for the new governor actually knew what it was that they were voting for.
And expect the 'Terminator' to ride to the rescue, promoting harsh anti-labor legislation, possibly on the pretext that the grocery and transit workers' strikes are endangering public health and safety. Indeed, the possibility exists that an apparent threat to public health could be manufactured through conspiring to create regional food shortages -- with the blame, of course, placed squarely on the shoulders of the striking workers.
In fact, things aren't looking good for the nation. All of those out there who are having a good laugh at California's expense may not be laughing for long. Before the candidate had even made his 'surprise' entry into the recall race, Congress had begun working quietly to rewrite the Constitutional requirement that U.S. presidents be native born. There are at least two bills on the table, with 'bipartisan' support coming from, among others, Senator Orrin Hatch on the right and Congressman Barney Frank on the left.
Will the 'Terminator' be coming to Washington? Has it been decided that the Third Reich cannot be properly resurrected without an Austrian strongman at the helm? Many will scoff at that suggestion. But that's just because they haven't been paying attention to how the game is played.

About the only thing that seems to be required for a fallacious fact to take root in the minds of the functionally insane is for a known liar in Washington and/or the media to have authoritatively uttered it. It matters not if the fallacious fact is later retracted and/or completely discredited. It matters not if the fallacious fact represents a brazen rewriting of history just weeks after that history was recorded. And it matters not if belief in the fallacious fact requires belief in a whole host of other fallacious facts that are internally inconsistent and completely lacking in logic.
On top of that, he has appeared in public no fewer than three times now with noticeably large bruises/contusions on his face. First there was the enormous bandage he sported in the dark days of the 'hanging chads.' Then there were the obvious contusions late in the year that would have gone without mention were it not for a reporter's question; only then did the White House hurriedly issue a claim that Bush had had lesions removed from his face.
And then we were treated to the sublimely comical story that our fearless leader lost consciousness while snacking on a pretzel and fell face-first into a coffee table (I could make a cheap joke here about the 'leader of the free world' being unable to watch TV and chew pretzels at the same time, but will refrain from doing so). And we were told that this is actually a very common occurrence.
The Enron scandal, you quickly realize, is not going to be seriously investigated -- just as the coup-like nature of the election wasn't investigated, and just as the 'terrorist' attacks on Washington and New York aren't being investigated, and just like the anthrax attacks, so obviously timed to ratchet up the level of fear and outrage among the American people, aren't being investigated.
What if you're not the only sane person left in a world gone mad?
Wasn't it, after all, France's Le Figaro that dropped that little bombshell about bin Laden meeting a CIA operative in a Dubai hospital room shortly before September 11? And isn't Le Figaro owned by the Carlyle Group, whose investors and principals include the Bushes, the bin Ladens, and various ranking members of the national security infrastructure?

What else is in the news these days? The big story, as everyone knows by now, is that Laker star Kobe Bryant allegedly shot Laci Peterson in the foyer of music legend Phil Spector's home with actor Robert Blake's gun, after which he was quickly apprehended by obscure bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman. The other big story is that Ahhnuld Steroidenegger shocked everyone by revealing that he has been cast to play the lead role in California's slow-motion coup d'etat.
After immersing myself for several days in the world of cable 'news' - an activity that I usually avoid at all costs - I have come to the conclusion that anyone who can watch this parade of fools and not know that they are being lied to has to be a few Freedom Fries short of a Happy Meal.
And those are just some of the more outrageous claims that have been revealed as lies. Virtually every thing that is said is a lie. And they're not even good lies. They're not even credible lies. They are absolutely shameless lies.

Defendant: Well, your honor, I killed him.
Judge: And why did you do it?
Defendant: I was afraid that if I didn't kill him, he would kill me.
Judge: Had he threatened to kill you?
Defendant: Well, no, not really.
Judge: Had he ever attacked you in any way?
Defendant: No, your honor.
Judge: Had he ever threatened to physically attack you in any way?
Defendant: No sir.
Judge: Was there something about him physically that intimidated you?
Defendant: No, definitely not. As you can see, I'm a big, brawny guy. And he was small and relatively weak.
Judge: Well then, did he have friends that threatened or intimidated you?
Defendant: No, your honor. He didn't really have many friends.
Judge: Did he have any weapons?
Defendant: I was afraid that he might have.
Judge: But did you ever see any weapons? Did he ever threaten you with any weapons?
Defendant: No, your honor. I sent some friends of mine over to his house several times to look for them though.

Defendant: They didn't find anything.
Judge: And when you killed him ...? Were any weapons found at that time?
Defendant: No sir.
Judge: So he didn't actually have any weapons?
Defendant: Well, I think he kept them well hidden. I know that he used to have some.

Defendant: Oh, about fifteen years ago. He had some then for sure.
Judge: For sure? What makes you so sure?
Defendant: Because I sold them to him.
Judge: But I thought you were afraid of him?
Defendant: I was.
Judge: I see. Did he live near you?
Defendant: No. He actually lived all the way on the other side of town. We never really had occasion to see each other.
Judge: So your paths didn't really cross on a regular basis?
Defendant: No, sir. Our paths didn't really cross at all.
Judge: So this guy never ventured over to your side of town? And he never threatened you in any way, and never attacked you in any way, either personally or through a surrogate, and yet you felt threatened enough by him that you felt justified in killing him? Is that about right?
Defendant: That is correct, your honor. Like I said, I was afraid that if I didn't kill him, he would kill me.
Judge: I see here that, according to the police report, you were found in the victim's home, standing over his dead body.
Defendant: That is correct.
Judge: So he didn't come looking for you -- you went looking for him? Is that correct?
Defendant: Yes, sir. I wanted to get to him before he got to me.
Judge: I see. Is there anything else you would like to add?
Defendant: Just that a year or two ago, I was assaulted.
Judge: By this same guy?
Defendant: No. By a different guy from a different neighborhood. That's what I told everyone, anyway.
Judge: And was this other guy a friend of the guy you killed?
Defendant: Oh, no. They hated each other.
Judge: So that assault had nothing to do with you feeling threatened by this other guy?

Judge: Okay, then. This is clearly a case of self defense. You are free to go, sir.
