feb25
Ayman al-Zawahri, the al-Qaida second-in-command whose voice was heard on audiotapes broadcast this week on Arab television, has made 10 similar public statements in the past six years, five of which were followed within three weeks by deadly terrorist attacks, an NBC News analysis shows.

The tapes were broadcast a few hours apart by the Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya television networks, a simultaneous distribution of tapes from the fugitive al-Qaida leaders that U.S. intelligence sources said apparently is unprecedented.

ok - so theres apparently some 'hi-value-target' on the pakghanistan border with some crazy fighting going on. the media are wetting their pants that its al-zawahri 'obl's #2' - both musharaff and the pentagon on the teeve giggling that they cant say anything about it - they dont wanna raise expectations of course - but leaving no doubt in the viewers mind.

i didnt even recognise the guys name - but apparently he was the guy who 'simultaneuously' delivered two tapes to two tv channels recently. i wrote about some of the suspicious circumstnaces at the time - there were some odd things, including the fact that he had separate msgs for each tv station.

this feb25 article, presumably pre-emptively, outlines the proximity of his msgs to actual attacks. check out all the interactive quizzes on the page! could u be an airport screener? lol.

itll be interesting to see how this 'skirmish' turns out. operation mountin' goat. lets roll. i love the hammer/anvil imagery. im no military expert - but is that the same as a pincer movement? and does the english language mean anything any more? the point about the hammer/anvil analogy is that the hammer loses. always. can u pls stop trying to steal my brain????????
