cnn played the iraq bombing story yesterday for 4 hours straight - without interruption. the other stations seemed to just include the story in its regular bulletins. soopertuesday simply disappeared.

im dubious whenever i hear about 'simultaneous' attacks - it always seems designed to *prove* how sophisticated the nasty killers are. (cf: alqaida did it). i also love hearing stories about 'unexploded' bombs and failed suicide bombers and all that. its amazing how often that happens...

it was also fun to see how quickly and frequently it was pointed out that the attacks were as outlined in that 17 page memo. however, if u think that there are some doubts about the memo story (cf the predictability of safire's "case closed" rant), then todays actions need to be considered in that light...

and the linking of pakistan and iraq was a nice touch too... luckily it was near the pak/af border
