btw - my heart goes out to the spanish people - just as it went to the shiites last week, and it goes to the americans every day. and the palestinians and the israelis among others. and the scenes of the vigils in spain are most touching. i hope that it was spontaneous and not beat up by the media - 10m people is a lot. lets hope that energy is directed appropriately - cos it could make for a hell of a mess. id hate to see some anger spent in the wrong direction - the media could create mass chaos in an instant, which justifies martial law and fascism. perhaps they were half-right when they spoke about 'democracy dominoes'. praps spain is the test case - the haiti or iraq of europe.
