i didnt know about the Rapture thing till today - thnx for that. the monbiot article in the guardian article was spine chilling. he often seems spot-on.

ive never really had a usable framework to consider the endoftheworld but the Rapture stuff helps somewhat - the end-goal however has been quite apparent - i call it ohmy-geddon. its a sign of the crazy times in which we live that we need to resort to such weird thinking to find an internally consistent logic which can encapsulate the things that we witness.

watching 43's 'press conference' last week, he said something that struck me as quite spooky 'the time is now' he said, pausing 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 'and iraq is the place' - it struck me that he was speaking a language i didnt understand - like a secret code or something. given his delivery, there was obviously a message in 'the time is now' - it was kinda spooky cos i knew it was in someone elses language.

atheists know nothing. how can we possibly understand?
