1. PA title: "U.S. Told Saudis to Let Al-Qaida Gunmen Escape Says Official" (apparently these are the same people they later caught in womens clothing!)
http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=3014134

2. when gore gave his moveon speech, i mentioned that it was odd that they didnt attack soros (and went for the hitler video non-thing instead) - that seem seems to have changed http://mediamatters.org/items/printable/200406040004

3. prisonplanet is saying "At least two of the terrorists identified by John Ashcroft as part of an 'Al-Qaeda cell' that is waiting to attack America this summer are already in jail." and "The 'cell' that these individuals are said to belong to doesn't even exist. The Abu Hafs al Masri group was described by the Boston Globe as a 'phantom organization'. Their researchers could find no evidence that the group was real."
http://prisonplanet.tv/articles/may2004/052704wantedlist.htm

4. the mar13 04 b.globe article says
"WASHINGTON -- A group purporting to be part of Al Qaeda that claimed responsibility for the Madrid train bombings and warned of a looming attack on the United States seems to be a phantom organization, according to US intelligence officials and terrorism specialists.
But specialists say there is no evidence the organization exists. E-mail messages purporting to be written by the group previously claimed responsibility for everything from the North American blackout to a suicide attack that killed 20 Italian policemen in Iraq. But none of those claims has proved true, intelligence specialists say.
The latest message warned that an attack against the United States is "90 percent ready."
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2004/03/13/officials_group_tying_self_to_blasts_may_not_be_real/

ashcroft used that '90% ready' line in his announcement last week - seems we are 3 months on and they are still only at 90%. lazy buggers.

5. dadberg is back in biz - speaking at a rally - no mention yet of the f911 vid

6. ive mentioned TBR before once - they have an update from their 'leaker in the whitehouse' http://www.tbrnews.org/Archives/a914.htm i dont particularly vouch for it

7. re tenet's resignation, no one seem really sure where it came from. it seemed to be a shock to most people.

"Former CIA Director Stansfield Turner believes this resignation is "too significant a move at too important a time" to be motivated by personal considerations. "I think he's being pushed out," Turner said on CNN"
http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/060404A.shtml

"If George Tenet’s departure was carefully choreographed by the White House, it looks like somebody may have forgotten to tell Bush. The purpose of forcing the resignation of a high-level official is to make the boss look good, and the president looked shell-shocked." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5138567/site/newsweek/ (this was that odd announcement which nyt called 'almost bizarre')

if they were gonna push tenet, or if tenet was falling on his sword, why not wait till after the release of these reports. the public beheading would presumably be more effective - its true that they can now say 'he was culpable and he has gone', but they leave themselves open to a new round of 'who else has to go?' - news moves so fast these days that tenets resignation might be a distant memory by the time the reports come out - and there might be new calls for blood. so it seems that his announcement wasnt optimized for anyone, and no-one can quite work out the point of it - which brings me back to the "wellbeing" issue... and one expects that if they are threatening tenets family, then they are maybe threatening others' as well. if we see some surprise deaths of family members in the ranks, we might take a closer look...

happy mondays
