- A man charged with leaving threatening messages at an Islamic center said Wednesday he made the calls in anger after learning last month that Islamic terrorists beheaded an American in Iraq.
``I just lost my temper over Michael Berg being beheaded,'' George M. Doyle II said in an interview. ``It just hurt so bad.''
imgine if a bearded muslim-type threatened a whiteychurch after the AbugG pix offering 'it just hurt so bad' - im not sure they'd be released for sentencing at some later date. or for a total mindfuck, imagine if some joe6pakamerican called and threatened a whiteychurch saying 'the abug pix hurt so bad' - no need to have race needs to be an issue...
2. The "dirty bomb" allegedly planned by terror suspect Jose Padilla would have been a dud, not the radiological threat portrayed last week by federal authorities, scientists say. "It's the equivalent of blowing up lead,"

this story just gets better. i hope mr padilla has seen Truman.
3. TALLAHASSEE · The head of Florida's elections division resigned Monday amid reports he was feeling political heat over a push to purge thousands of suspected felons from the state's voter rolls.

news of more florida ballot purging has been around for a few weeks. now this. what sort of mess is november5 gonna be?
4. "The day the Constitution died - June 8, 2004: Ashcroft's coronation of George W. Bush" http://www.workingforchange.com/article.cfm?itemid=17092
people are using this 'dead constiution' with increasing literalness
5. "A spokeswoman for Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said the congressman understands the rhetorical intent of the bill, which is to underscore the need for shared sacrifice, but he is concerned that the implementation would be impractical at this time."

never fear - the draft is merely a rhetorical device
6. "There are people who say 'Why can't we be like France or Germany ... ?'" U.S. Congressman Henry Bonilla told the enthusiastic crowd. "If you like those places so much, why don't you move there?"
http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=11921316&BRD=2318&PAG=461&dept_id=484045&rfi=6
theres no-one anymore who says 'why cant we be more like america?'
7. woodward: "And Bush was getting these reports and felt that there was incongruity between what Blix was saying publicly and what he was actually doing. It makes it very clear we were wiretapping Hans Blix."

it seems that they are still trying to justify the war. seems they're happy to admit to spying, as long as they can keep some doubt in the publics mind that blix et al are liars 'trust us, we are the govt and we know things that we cant tell you'
8. 3 weeks to june30 handover (sic) - for months and months we've been promised an increase in attacks, the logic never seemed to add up to me. we are seeing heaps of attacks now, but i dont think this is what the cadmin was alluding to. more to come, presumably...
9. theres an odd story that is getting a lot of attention here where some prisoner was found with plans for a new, unbuilt prison in his cell. i havent been following it, but it seems to be one of those stories whose purpose isnt yet, but will soon be, clear. praps muslim terorists will escape and blow us up at election time.
10. am still thinking about tenets departure, including 43 odd announcement, and tenets "family wellbeing" thing. those words could conceivably have 2 other meanings - a) he is worried about his fmaily growing up in a hijacked america b) the family he refers to in that statement may be the cia (he called it his family a lot during the speech). irregardless, given that tenet seemed to surprise the egadmin with the announcement, and yet he seems to be leaving on his own terms, given that he seems to have chosen the date, a month out. and it seems that 911comm is lining up the fbi more than the cia, and tenet could distance himself from the wmd thing, because it was all stovepiped from the osp via chalabi who was a pentagon man. and the cia was the victim in the plame thing. both 43 and cheney have got themselves some crim lawyers wrt plame - if the plame thing goes to a reasonable court, it looks like everyone is fucked. with tenet a civilian (and the other guy who resigned), then theres no executive privilege. praps tenet wants to bring em all down before they destory the world.or praps tenet is just loading the gun with the implicit threat to testify, in case they wanna give full control to the pentagon. or some such.
mortar come.
