Troops to Thailand?

Are House leaders looking to expand the "axis of evil" ? In a fundraising package to 1,000 supporters, the House leadership is asking that they fill out an "Ask America" survey that generally charts the actions of the Bush administration. In the "war on terrorism section," the leaders ask: "Should America broaden the war on terrorism into other countries that harbor and aid terrorists such as Thailand, Syria, Somalia, the Philippines, etc.?" A Democrat who intercepted one package asked, "I'd love to see how many people actually think we should be starting a war with Thailand."

Spitzer's e-mail trail
New York prosecutor Eliot Spitzer has made a career of digging up the incriminating E-mails of bad guys, so it was just natural that former SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt would use Spitzer's E-mails in a Manhattan roast last week. Take one between Spitzer and former NYSE Chair Dick Grasso, now being probed for his high pay. "Whatever the stock exchange is paying you, it's not enough," gushed Spitzer. The prosecutor made sure everybody knew the E-mails Levitt read were a hoax: "I don't send E-mails; I don't keep a diary. I write absolutely nothing down."
