A British school and Jewish centres were also on the list of targets compiled by the Madrid bombers, reports have said.

The name of a Madrid British infant school was discovered by investigators among documents found in the wreckage of the terrorists' apartment, they added.

The documents have since been handed to a parliamentary commission investigating the bombings.

A Jewish hostel and a recreation centre used by Jewish families were also on the list, news agency Europa Press added.

MADRID, Spain (Reuters) -- The Madrid train bombers were planning other attacks on targets including a British school and two Jewish centers, Spanish media said Wednesday, quoting a police report.

Investigators found documents detailing the targets in the wreckage of a suburban apartment where seven prime suspects in the train attacks blew themselves up on April 3 when police cornered them, the reports said.

A parliamentary spokeswoman said she had no information on the police report.

Madrid, Spain, Jul. 1 (UPI) -- The Islamic cell that killed 191 people in four Madrid bombings in March had several more targets in Spain, the EFE news agency reported Thursday.

The Civil Guard report also said some Islamic activities that appear to be purely religious are in fact "financed by representatives of intelligence services of countries directly tied to the exportation, sponsorship and promotion of terrorist activity."
