People prescribed antidepressants are almost 40 times more likely to commit suicide in the first nine days of treatment than those who have weathered the early medical adjustments and been on the drugs for at least three months, a study has found.
It also found no difference in the suicidal behaviour of adults and teenagers taking the drugs.
