4rn mbc

* "According to the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll conducted this past weekend, 51 percent of likely voters said that Iraq/terrorism is their number one issue; the economy rated second at 31 percent." heres a crazy thought - if pollsters unbundled iraq & terrorism, then perhaps things would make more sense. its pretty simple people. if we are told that 43=strongonterror, and terror/iraq is the #1 issue, then it follows (somehow) that 43 should be pres. the repugs are so damn effective at defining 2bit 'debate'.

* "As someone close to the Labor campaign said yesterday: "Thankfully, the indonesia bombing happened in the first fortnight of the campaign, not the last." - yeah - thank goodness the campaign period will now be free from terra. http://theage.com.au/articles/2004/09/10/1094789682850.html

* btw - there is only one Debate between latham and howard - and its on tonight. funny how the indo bomb was just a few days before the debate. funny how latham cant be seen to use it to his advantage. funny how debates seem to determine elections. funny ha. funny ha ha.

* btw - funny how the indobomb dug a 10 foot crater. i find weirdo joe's oft-told argument that car bombs shouldnt cause craters to be compelling (without understanding the physics). if a bomb explodes in a car a few feet above the ground, it seems that the energy would travel the path of least resistance - which means everything *except* blowing a hole in the ground. eg http://www.joevialls.co.uk/transpositions/marriott.html

* "The Australian foreign minister, Alexander Downer, said in Jakarta that a member of Indonesia's elite paramilitary mobile brigade had received an SMS warning. "The message some 45 minutes before the terrorist attack [said] that there would be an attack on western embassies unless Abu Bakar Ba'asyir was released," he said." is there any way that this possibly makes sense? note: there was no deadline or anything apparently - it was sent to a police officer who couldnt possibly have done anything about it even if he was given a deadline. 'free bloke x or therell be an attack' and then theres an attack less than an hour later.

* i reckon i could be president, but it would be so much more fun writing the sort of fiction that these people come up with. an sms to a cop without a deadline? pulease! oh - and they wasted 3 suicide bombers and a car in the process. its all so stupid. murderck leads with the sms story in its main sat edition http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,10731223%255E601,00.html "But the message was not passed on until almost eight hours after the bomb exploded" - could it be more laughable? funny ha ha. heres a tip for suicide bombers - if u wanna achieve some political objective - dont sms some cop who might be asleep or woteva, and u should prolly give them time to respond. id luv 2 c the msg: 'u must free ABB or u will c 4rn mbc xplode. dont w8 or hesit8' (the '4rn mbc' thing is priceless - i told ya id be good at this stuff!)
