quislings all

* the vegie patch has a net over it to keep the birds out. i just found 10 birds inside the net - trying to get out. have u ever a seen a net repeatedly kinda bulge out from the inside from all directions? i saved the birds. bird shepherding score: 10/10 rabbit parenting score: still a strong 3.

* "Since 1988, 43 hasn't spent more than two consecutive nights away from laura." http://www.counterpunch.org/stclair09222004.html

* "Did Ariel Sharon, the Prime Minister of Israel, run a covert program with operatives in high-level US government positions to influence the Bush Administration's decision to go to war in Iraq? The FBI wants to know." this aipac case thingy seems pretty big. http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20041004&s=dreyfuss

* ray mcgovern "There might be a real or staged terrorist attack in order to postpone the elections. This might seem outlandish; I hope it is."
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article6945.htm

* "David Blunkett's emergency anti-terrorism laws came under fire last night after he ruled a suspect interned without trial for nearly three years no longer posed a national threat." wot a world. blunketts record is the same as ashcrofts. its easy to think that there isnt a single terrorist on the planet. most terror attacks are at best under a cloud, and the rest are maybe just copy-cats. and theres lots of dead terrorists, but all the ones who are still alive get freed eventually, or at least never get charged. about the only one theyve got is whiteguyshoebomber who was either just deranged or setup. and i dont reckon a sane person would try to blow up his shoe with a match when he was sitting next to someone. if he wanted to blow up the plane, he'd have taken out the obvious risk factor and simply gone to the bathroom. praps he didnt wanna set off the smoke alarm... and he's about the best theyve got. and no attacks in america. and the only coalition beheadings being sunberg, and then one to cover his death up, and then a handful just before an election (or 2). and all the major attacks in iraq are 'conducted' by zarq - on police recruits or the UN - but he prolly doesnt even exist. i cant even think of a large terrorist attack that *isnt* under suspicion. as we saw with this latest round of deheadings, all it apparently took was to pay the local security guard a few shekkels to not turn up to work and the amhostages were kidnapped. how many other indig security guards might have also found themselves bedridden for the right price. which neednt be very much - im sure there are a few who arent entirely loyal to their charges. lets not forget the 50+% desertion rates in the iraqi police force when asked to fight for the dark side.

* if kerry was really getting angry about bush on iraq - why didnt he quote kofi 'the war was illegal'?

* heres that woolsley/airport/fingerprinting article http://www.gcn.com/vol1_no1/daily-updates/27362-1.html

* "If the war was illegal, as is now believed by most global opinion, then the only people fighting legitimately in Iraq are the resistance groups defending their homeland - not the forces of states that committed an international crime by attacking a country without provocation." how on earth did we get in this situation? it astounds even me. http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1310804,00.html

* "The public record, available to anyone who wants the truth, is undeniable: The war was waged on false pretenses -- and the war leaders knew it. They knew it would bring unimaginable death and suffering to multitudes of innocent people in Iraq -- and to thousands of their own soldiers and civilians as well. They knew it would lead to more terrorism, more chaos, more insecurity in the world. Yet they plunged ahead anyway, deliberately deceiving their own people with a poison cloud of lies, exaggeration and bluster." praps thats how we got here. somehow. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/stories/2004/09/24/120.html

* i heard jfks 7 point plan earlier about iraq. a few days ago i think he had a 4 point plan.

* "After his brief but powerful defiance from the dock they said his trial would take months to prepare. His lieutenants would be tried first in the hope they would give evidence against him. Saddam would not go back to court until 2005, if then. Suddenly we hear his trial may take place next month." http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1311745,00.html

* theres a rico suit out re aspartame. thats rummy of course. hes the one who sold wmd to iraq and nth korea. and other recent general war-racketeering "Rumsfeld sold stakes this summer in at least five companies after they were identified as doing business with the Pentagon" http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=6308610

* spooky "three months after the book's publication, a team from the federal oz Attorney-General's Department turned up to "cleanse" Patricia and David's home computers of material said to be so sensitive that it could jeopardise the very security of the nation... they and others were emailed early drafts of a book by (spy whistleblower) Andrew Wilkie who resigned spectacularly last year in opposition to Australia's involvement in Iraq - " http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/09/17/1095394005626.html

* democracy me "On October 9, as Afghans take to the polls in their country's first presidential election since the Taliban's ouster in 2001, not a single foreign monitoring body will have a significant presence in the country." even the ams pretend to do that.
http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archives/000082.html

* it sounds ridiculous, but its really quite difficult to find a sentence when the jihadmin, especially 43, actually makes a point that is actually really factual. its all read str8 from the teleprompter so they can fashion each sentence to the truth limit. its really quite remarkable.

* (i spose u know this: " Salon reports that the story casting doubt on the documents was first pushed into the news stream by Creative Response Concepts, a Republican public relations firm. Then, selected bloggers went to work led by an Atlanta lawyer who helped get President Bill Clinton disbarred and was the first who called the memos fakes.") http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0922-14.htm

* when bush outlaws abortion, will they call it the 'RIght to Choose (motherhood) Act'? when he attacks iran, will they call it the mullahs4peace Act? mebbe we'll soon get a "Flat Earth Act" - i wonder what it will do.

* " What we see as a tragic series of American missteps, Iraqis interpret -- with reason when seen through their eyes -- as evidence of evil intent." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A43383-2004Sep22.html
