rasputin

* ive been meaning to write some higher level stuff than stupid reporting on reporting on reporting - but watching the nearly-slow train crash and trying to save a life or two gets a bit overwhelming. and if we actually have a november and a january and a march, then there'll prolly be time for that later. ive been background-considering two possibly-interesting pieces a) my fave stories - this isnt the list - but things like tillman and jesslynch and missionaccomplished and the saddam statue bollox and many others, and b) stories which may be instrumental that we dont understand - sunberg obviously, but the one id really like to know the truth about is (which virtually no-one, anywhere touched) is those 2 911 commissioners leaving the bushcheney 'meet with'. it was under-reported and virtually unspeculated. even in speculative circles. as far as i can tell, its not an interesting side-story. trying to imagine a scenario where it makes sense - the only thing i can think of (which is presumably not the reality) is that cheney sed 'ill give u each $100million to say xyz and ill kill u and all of your family if u disagree or say anything' and 2 of em simply couldnt stomach it, but also didnt want their family dead. again, i dont necessarily beleive that is true, but i cant think of another situation that possibly explains the circumstances.

the official story certainly isnt true. one guy went to give an introduction to someine elses speech, and another went to the capitol to meet some junior senator or woteva but the meeting didnt happen cos senate was still in session. its astonishing to me that this story didnt get any traction - even amongst the unwashed bloggers - of all the stories, this one is the one that i want answers to. and not only cos it got no attention.

the fact that cheney didnt actually/effectively 'meet with' 911comm on his own grounds is another issue - his only appearance was with 43 on his knee - so the issue became 43s appearance, not cheneys (effective) absence of appearance - not to mention of course that none of it was recorded and none of it was sworn testimony, and none of the commers were even allowed to take any notes. the greatest crime in the history of the country lest i need remind u, and the trigger event for a war or 2, so far. and somehow 2 folk decided that they best walk out of this meeting to meet prior commitments... for the sake of history, and future of this world, i hope that someone was able to bug the room.
