* the explosives story has changed to 'tonnes of' rather than the 'hundreds of tonnes' it was earlier. the numbers havent changed. just the language.

* btw - the 'weve founds hundreds of thousands of tonnes of other stuff' is a complete red herring. i dont care how many mousetraps they have found. and they knew this place was important before the war. theres simply no excuse.

* i wonder if we'll see more mutiny cos of this. if the grunts find out that theyve been exposed to this shit, and the cadmin knew about it but kept it a secret, they might get grumpy.

* and the idea that they were 'other priorities' (sounds like cheney) - bizzy protecting other places and whatnot - is a simple admission that they didnt have enuff troops if they couldnt even protect places like this. meanwhile they spent $900m on the isg looking for weapons that they knew didnt exist - and with metalpha and judymiller directing traffic. its increasingly difficult to imagine them doing a worse job. which begs the question...

* i saw that footage of 43 again where it seems that they had inserted the audio. my new take on it is that the following clip of footage was actually a cheering crowd, and it seems they turned on the audio of that footage before
cutting to the visual - so the cheering crowd 'leaked backwards' into the previous footage. shameful. and on the beeb too.

* i love the latest reports that am violent crime is down 3% (excluding murder)

* its seems that jonk is getting a lot of newspaper endorsements. id love to see a map of them on red/blue states. sometimes i think that this whole 'dividednation' thing is complete rubbish. something to fool the citydwellers.
ive said for a long time that i simply couldnt believe there are that many stupid people around.

* if i was a crisis manager and i got a phonecall 'hello - this is the president. we went to iraq cos we didnt want terrorists to get wmd, we knew where some components were, but we didnt guard em and now terrorists have got them. lots of em. and we kept telling people that there were lots of terrorists there' id simply hang up the phone. even if id worked with ssri and DU companies.
