PETA for gorilla fighters

* cnn have tripped into 43 languagemangling 'jonk will raise taxes on the top 2 brackts' - rather than top 2%. (altho they are talking about 'dividend income' so that might be something different)

* jonk is still doing the 'middleclass' thing. derrrr. how abuot 'nearly everyone' instead?

* soopercreep chrishitchens switched other from a 43 endorser to jonk4pres within the last week. nice.

* what happens to all the companies who normally advertise their products on radio/teeve but who have been buonced outta the admkt cos theres not enough capacity with all the political ad spend?

* "With Election Day almost upon us, it's not clear whether President Bush is running a campaign or plotting a coup d'etat. By all accounts, Republicans are spending these last precious days devoting nearly as much energy to suppressing the Democratic vote as they are to mobilizing their own... Time was when Republicans were at least embarrassed by their efforts to keep African Americans from the polls..." thats the thing. what used to be highly dubious is the new normal, and are so overt that one can only imagine what is under the radar. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A707-2004Oct26.html

* dont go back to stepford. and waste another year.

* theres an odd mediameme where 'jonk is sharpening his attacks' which doesnt take into account any of the reality. if blinkydill accidentally blew up sanfrancisco with a nuke and jonk criticised it, the msg would still be 'jonk is sharpening his attacks'

* syhersh "Look, America is a very racist country and war brings out the worst in it. I have said – several times, publicly – that the one thing I've always liked about Bill Clinton is that he was the first American president since World War II to bomb white people." http://www.alternet.org/mediaculture/20309/

* speaking of derelectionday riots - of course there arent just the people lining up waiting to vote who might get tetchy - all those people who have been working for months to geddoutthevote are gonna be furious and exhausted. if they see all their efforts being wasted, they too are gonna be mad. real mad. and therell be some sense that waiting till nov3 before rioting might be too late. and when real democracy is working (ie people trying to get heard), the repugs will jam up the requisite mechanisms of democracy.

* declareyourself.com before ya wrwreckyerself

* hands up if u think think that there would have been an iraq war, and a patriot act or two, and taxcuts for the rich absent 911

* wheres larryflyntt? we need u larry.
