lets we forget

* "Federal judges are jeopardizing national security by issuing rulings contradictory to President Bush's decisions on America's obligations under international treaties and agreements, Attorney General John Ashcroft said Friday." http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apwashington_story.asp?category=1151&slug=Ashcroft%20Judges

* Keith Olbermann on Voter Irregularities: Part 4 http://www.crooksandliars.com/2004/11/12.html#a736

* heres an article about florida vote - debunking a wapo article and the dixiecrat thesis. - http://www.consortiumnews.com/Print/2004/111204.html

* btw - jonk is (at least) 50/1 to win 2008 - which looks like a stirling bet. with a lot of luck he might even be running as an incumbent if the recount dominos start tipping... only in bizarro world could the man who got the highest losing score ever with rumours of a stolen presidency be the same price as the guy who cant run becuase of the constitution (arnie is 66/1). and jonk is ten times hillary's price, amidst all this moralvalues redstate nonsense. can u imagine the gotv response on the repug side??? 400% of them will vote for anyone else. id love to see the 2004 betting markets from nov 2000.

* heres an article which a couple of people have commented on - it argues that 43 actually only wanted to win by a small margin. "For at least two years, Rove, Ken Mehlman, Matthew Dowd and others were predicting that the election would be close but Bush would win. Why?" i dont agree with the logic in the article - but it is part similar to my argument that they knew that they couldnt win and that the vote would collapse around them, and the goal was just to pretend that it was close - ie within striking range of stealing. http://markschmitt.typepad.com/decembrist/2004/11/im_not_going_to.html

* " Fifty-five percent did not buy Bush's spin that the war in Iraq was going well. And almost as many people rejected Bush's assertion that the war there has made the United States safer. Bush and his views were not embraced." we have such low expectations for junior... how about: '*Only* Fifty-five percent did not buy Bush's spin that the war in Iraq was going well. And *only* almost as many people rejected Bush's assertion that the war there has made the United States safer.' http://www.davidcorn.com/2004/11/as_nasty_as_tho.php

* LAtimes does a kooky-interneters vfraud story - and i kept thinking when im reading it 'why dont they mention nader?' and then they did in the last para " Moore didn't even support the Democrats before this election; in 2000 he backed fellow left-wing loon Ralph Nader." http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-chait12nov12,1,511922.column?coll=la-news-comment-opinions

* favourite war moment #654,987,478 (apologies to jessica lynch, pattillman, nickberg, baghdad thnxgiving, mission accomplished, powell at UN, cheneybush at 911comm et al et al et al) - pix from fallujah of an amgrunt wrapping a bandage around the middle finger of another amgrunt. its dangerous here - but we're dealing with it.

* ive heard of at least 3 amhelicopters falling from the sky around fallujah this week. luckily no-one was hurt. apparetnly a helicopter falling from the sky is like a car rolling to a stop.

* cnn is telling me that the pentagon is saying that the troops are demoralised. i guess thats cos theyve lost 80% of their territory. im not sure how u take territory off guerrillas. its mine. no, its mine. ITS MINE. NO, ITS MINE. ok, you have it. bang.

* and cnn is telling me that there are "people in fallujah who claim to be doctors" complaining about xyz. we are so disgusting. (i notice ive been using 'disgusting' a lot lately. its so appropriate. and literal.)
