you say you want a revolution

* i love the flujar creeping reports - we have 'two thirds', then 70%, then 'three quarters'. i wonder if we'll get 80%/85/90/95 updates. i still havent heard any update on the 10+2 body count from yesterday. and it was hours old when i mentioned it yesterday.

* "Seeking to maintain the headlines we see Bush throw a sacrificial lamb in Ashcroft out today. The hope is that Ashcroft keeps Votergate 2004 off of the mainstream news for a few more days. Then there will be another announcement after the Ashcroft story loses its legs. Delay, delay, delay. Get to the point that the elections are certified. Get to the Inauguration Day. Get to the point that we reach a point of no return... The efforts made so far though have begun to crack the media silence as Keith Olbermann finally reported on these stories this week. He has since reported that he has received over 6,000 emails thanking him. Take a minute out now and send him an email asking him to continue to take this charge up. His email is KOlbermann@msnbc.com ." fwiw i sent keith an email saying thanks. i dont normally do those sort of things. and ftr - i heard that ashcrofts people were saying he was pushed. http://www.opednews.com/wade_111004_diversionary.htm

* i have nothing useful to say about arafat - cept that his condition is now officially stable. i do hope he gets off the frontpage tho.

* "With the extensive pre-election effort to prevent election fraud, including international observers, activist poll watchers and attempts to enforce paper trail backups, the Democratic Party’s silence is puzzling,” said Ralph Nader. “It needs to wake up from its week of ‘shock and awe.’" http://www.votenader.org/media_press/index.php?cid=404

* bostonglobe does a 3page vfraud story - doing the internet thing, but at least doing a story. lede: "As they ricochet around the country on the Internet, the details seem aligned to raise the eyebrows of suspicious Democrats." inexplicably, it doesnt mention nader. they sound nervous. bevharris said she was told by someone she trusts that there had been a media lockdown. olbermann said 'bev - i didnt get the memo' - go read - they sound v.nervous http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/articles/2004/11/10/internet_buzz_on_vote_fraud_is_dismissed?pg=full

* ill quote xymph in chunks "I'm amazed at how easily the left has rolled up on this issue. It is not an exaggeration to say that this stolen election represents the United States slipping into fascism, a problem that is usually irreversible without a lot of really bad things happening to a lot of people. World war is the usual outcome, and the attack on Falluja, expressly couched as a religious Crusade , is clearly intended by the Christian Zionists to lead to that goal. If you make the connection between the people behind the computer voting machine companies, their insane religious desire to see the Apocalypse in the Middle East, and the grim future of the world evidenced by the completely unnecessary attack on Falluja, you have to come to the conclusion that there is no time to wait for another election. It is not morally acceptable for the American left to allow the Apocalypse to happen without even the slightest attempt at a fight. It is insane to save your energy for the next election, when the chances are there won't be one." http://xymphora.blogspot.com/2004/11/stolen-election-and-apocalypse.html

* ftr - one thing is completely clear - the necons dont give a shit about religion, except as an opiate. however, they must worship religion as a tool, but lament that they didnt invent it. that would be the crowning glory. and rove doesnt give a shit about religion as far as i can tell. and im mostly sure that 43 doesnt give a shit about religion. (altho im not sure he is sufficiently smart to really be evil). sometimes im tempted to call them christofascists - but its more like fauxchristofascists - especially now that ashcroft is gone. and the idea that the wadmin will have to payback the jesusfreaks seems quite false. they dont really care about them except as a voting block - and amelections arent really at the front of our mind right now. in that context, its quite odd to see karlroveewade promising to constitutionally ban fagmarriage. krove ought be looking to 2008, but it seems he has had to play this card early - which might possibly point to the fact that they are worried about the vfraud issue.

* i wish arafat would get off the fucking tv. the good news is that i was fearful that sharon would piggyback fallujah and kill some people under the radar. that hasnt been happening so far. and hopefully it wont. unless they stage some riots as an excuse to raze a bunch of people.
