pro-war marches

WAR
* gregpalast broke a story about iraqi oil for the beeb LINK you are sposed to be able to watch the show there but i cant get it to work. he was also on demnow LINK - im not sure what to make of it.

* michael berg makes an appearance LINK

* " I'm asking you to pass legislation requiring the redeployment of the Washington National Guard from Iraq to the United States so that they may bring freedom to the billions of Blastocyst-Americans living in stem cell research facilities. You need to do this as soon as possible. Thousands of Blastocyst-Americans die every moment you hesitate." LINK

* "Why some activists were not protesting at the Times eludes me. The anti-war movement acknowledges media complicity in selling the war but does little about it. How hard would iit have been to send a few hundred people to each of the main media sites in New York and demand better coverage. Everyone thinks it's a a good idea but no one does it--perhaps because they afraid of not getting good coverage. Take a look at the coverage they did get and weep" LINK

* "Mindful of the consequences of such a move, anti-war groups are planning a nationwide campaign next week to say "No draft, no way."" LINK

* btw - were there any pro-war marches on the anniversary?

* both faux and cnn are slamming the UN - in part because kofi doesnt have a definition for terrorism. do the ams have one apart from 'not us'?

* ""The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side," George Orwell once wrote. "He has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them."" LINK
