AMDOM
* "Fifteen current and former traders at the New York Stock Exchange were criminally charged yesterday with cheating investors out of the best prices for their stock trades in what could be unparalleled abuse of their position at the world's largest and most prestigious stock market." LINK

* alan keyes: "Ronald Reagan said the Soviet Union was the focus of evil during the cold war. I believe that the judiciary is the focus of evil in our society today," LINK
at least its not the gays...

* is there anything more absurd than these 'latest' terror indictments. i hate james comey. he's an idiot. remember when he gave that speech that padilla wasnt really a dirty bomber after all, but he rented an apartment in a building that had heaters - obviously with a plan to blow up the building? even ashcroft wouldnt put his face on that.

* that stupid ManDate article is still #1 at the nyt. gilliard falls right into it - i kept waiting for him to start making some sense, but it kept getting worse... how fucking depressing.

* xymphora summarises the curtis story

* there was an odd story the other day of a klm flight from canada to mexico not being allowed to fly over US airspace because of some suspicious passengers or some such - i dont think i mentioned it at the time. the new news is that the US isnt sposed to have passenger information for fly-overs. just for fun, the flight flew back to schipol with all the passengers still on board, and then there werent any arrests. odd. LINK

* nyt ed on the stolen 2 girls: "More information about the two girls will no doubt surface over time. If the evidence isn't there, the arrests are very disturbing. The government will have taken 16-year-olds from their families, branded them as would-be terrorists and put them into a frightening legal limbo for no good reason." http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/12/opinion/12tue1.html - theres a blog here for them. petitions et al.

* commonills slaps down the nyt for their coverage of the nyc-rnc trials LINK
