theres a mini-furor going on cos the NationalPressClub is having a panel on notgannon-gate and refused to invite anyone to participate except for notgannon himself and wonkette (apparently its compulsory to say 'i really like wonkette, but...')
i posted this comment at americablog:
"how about we set up a parallel panel at the same time? it can be in a different room at the press club or any other venue. we could get a bunch of signatories from the letter to the NPC, and leverage Editor&Publisher to get coverage.
if journalists wanna live by the objectivity sword, then perhaps we could force them to report on the two versions offered by two competing panels, not merely the two versions offered within the NPC panel.
ie we could piggyback (nee hijack) on the presumed media coverage of the NPC panel to get our side of the story out."
