* if you were osama and you wanted to blow up buildings with planes, would you recruit whoever was available and try to teach them how to fly planes? or would you try to recruit pilots?

* im reading an article about the guy who was Moussaoui's flight instructor, who tipped off the fbi. LINK
some highlights:
1. "His name is Clancy Prevost. He is sixty-eight years old, a retired pilot for Northwest Airlines, a lapsed Catholic, and a recovering alcoholic. He shakes his head as he recalls the entire story publicly for the first time."
publicly for the first time. its odd this story hasnt been told before. and in rakemag? wotever that is. if this guy knew schiavos brother he'd probably have a record deal by now. but no, he only spent a month with the only surviving hijacker in the worst crime in americas history.
2. the guy who was helping them was a copilot for wellstone's last flight. (fuck you coleman)
3. "(Prevost) knew (Moussaoui) wasn’t pilot material, because he’d actually read his manuals and he didn’t talk about pussy."
4. "That (previous) spring, Moussaoui had taken three months of private lessons at (another) Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma. 6. "The story made Prevost think, his mind making a quick series of associations. He asked Moussaoui, “Hajj? Ramadan—what is that? Are you Muslim?” Here Moussaoui’s emotion betrayed him for the first time."
7. i give up - i cant even read it any more. the writing is so bad. (i never quote from an article that i havent fully read)
8. i skimmed to the bottom where it has an addendumn: "As THE RAKE went to press today (4/19), federal judge Leonie Brinkema received word that Zacarias Moussaoui wishes to plead guilty. Judge Leonie has called a special closed-door meeting to determine the status of Moussaoui's trial. Previously, Moussaoui has said he had no knowledge of or involvement in September 11th."

i smell a fiend. the first article ever about the guy who apparently told the fbi about the undead hijacker, and its a gazillion word piece, in juvey language (it reads like a spook trying to write a novel, in 2 hours, and the only lesson s/he has ever learned is that 'details make it sound real'), in a mag ive never heard of at the same time we get other Moussaoui news...

9. im addicted to this story - i told u id stop - check this out: "“He comes in a Subaru with a silver paint job, four-door sedan, and the license plate is green and white and the last three numbers are 686.”" details details, and nearly nobody can miss the 666 reference. that is beautiful.

10. "Prevost (on 911) was like a man who after years of ignorance finds out his wife has been cheating on him. "

11. " Even with Moussaoui’s limited background, the instruction he paid for would have given him enough experience to guide an aircraft to a given target. In practice, you only have to turn two dials on the autopilot to maneuver the giant aircraft in flight."

ok (i couldnt stop reading!) - if this article reflects any version of reality, then this pilot-trainer guy coulda saved the world. an american hero by most standards. but we've never heard of him. i call bullshit. the only question is why this nonsense is being published now. discuss amongst yourselves.

this story is pure fiction. the only question is why it was planted. and why now?
