THEMEMO STUFF
* digby takes on thememo: "Tony Blair had to make a deal with Bush that he'd support him on Iraq to get him to go after Al-Qaeda. Is there anything more pathetic --- and frightening --- than that?" LINK
* rollingstone does TheMemo - and touches on my longheld theory : " Is it possible that George Tenet's characterization of the WMD intelligence as a "slam dunk" was staged for Bob Woodward's benefit?" LINK
NUCULAR STUFF
* cbsnews is doing a big bit on the nucular option - except they give all the time to self-described christo-crats - and then to balance the story, the best they could offer was that at some point the dems might be in the majority, and then "there'd be *even more* liberal judges"
* cornyn is defending owen 'shes not outta the mainstream, she was exercising her first amendment right'
* cornyn: 'of course we wouldnt end the filibuster elsewhere, we are just using here cos there is a logjam'
* specter said that its nonsense to do a deal nominating judges - 'if the dems dont think they are acceptable, then they arent acceptable at level'
