a completely unnecessary meantime

* xymphora puts the war in context of thememo.

i must say, i find the whole memo thing very bittersweet. i said the same thing when they were released. the 'critics' are right that theres nothing new, but for the wrong reasons. and its great seeing all these stories saying 'jfk, these people lied and are war criminals', but i must say, its fucking bittersweet. theres something really fucking sad that i and many others wrote the exact same story 30 months ago, and there have been a lot of dead people since. to hear these folk now scurry back through the archives to point to stories that *we* were pointing to as a reason not to go to war at the time is soul-destroying. how dare they? lets remember, its not just that we were right in retrospect, we had the proof that we were right at the time. it sickens me to consider what we have lost in the meantime, a completely unnecessary meantime. a completely unnecessary meantime.
