press availability

* digby on the great mysteries: "These are the big questions that the Downing St Memo has opened up. Yes, we already knew the intelligence was fixed, we knew they understood that Saddam was no threat, we knew they lied to the American people and we knew that they intended to go to war no matter what. But we still don't know for sure why they did all that. Until we do, I don't think we will be able to figure out how to deal with it." LINK

* fox left the jacko story *way* before any of the other channels, including the beeb. i wonder if fox will behave the same after blinky's indictment... (meanwhile, there was some chick on fox screaming a fabulous load of nonsense which included forcing jurors to have intelligence tests)

* are there two "20th hijackers"? im so confused.

* theres more footage of saddam. no sound. saddam is wearing a suit again.

* things in iraq arent going great (update #97739)

* remember when jonk was in london last week and he said he do something about thememo when he got home...

* one thing to remember about jonks grades at yale is that cheney dropped outta yale. twice.

* "Wisconsin Democrats are calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld." LINK

* btw, when the fark did "a press availability" become part of the lexicon? its fukking spooky.
"availability: n : the quality of being at hand when needed "
"press availability" means 'we will avail ourselves without having any responsibility or have to answer any questions'
when can i have my language back?

* holden on cooneys resignation: "Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this marks the first time that a Bush assministration official has resigned because of his involvement in a scandal. " LINK

* everyones excited that Rep FreedomFries wants the war to be over. i dont think they revoked the FrenchFries bill. in other news, i havent heard any french bashing for almost a week.

* according to the server logs today, i had a visit from the usdoj, to which i can only comment with a hearty gday. if you are friendly, please say hi, id love to know how scary it is working there. and if you arent friendly, well, i dont know if you have jurisdiction here in , so please leave. if you are looking for some advice on Justice, id be happy to help - orange suits for them all - and i'd love to see lindy england taking pix of all of them in a naked pyramid, and 'simulated' gay sex. and a couple of pix of voracious dogs screaming at blinky, pulling hard on their leash, with him backed up in the corner of a cell. can you imagine the look on his face - a disgusting mix of equal parts scaredy-cat, spite toward his torturers and shame shame shame. id frame the pic and sit it here on my desk, and next to that pic id have a photo of lindy taking the pic.

oh - and then id have a pic of blinky and cheney and rumsfeld and the rest of them in their underwear, juxtaposed against a pic of saddam in his underwear. just for comparison. im willing to make that bet today :-)

* heres an article by bumiller about diplomacy which is titled 'A Seriously Proper Job For An Old Pal of Bush'. liz is so fucking stupid i wanna give her credit for the title, too. i hope she charges for the blowjobs, including an armstrong williams premium. LINK
