* ""The explosives appear to be of military origin, which is very worrying," said Christophe Chaboud, head of the French Anti-Terrorism Coordination Unit and one of five top officials sent by Paris to London immediately after Thursday's attacks." LINK
The Daily Mirror writes about the investigation - it seems full of nonsense:
* "British Transport Police have recovered nearly a million used tickets from barriers across the rail network, hoping some will carry the bombers' fingerprints as they travelled into London."
im glad i dont have that job
* "One theory is that because the attacks were in the north and north east parts of Central London, the bombers may live close to that area or have travelled in by train from Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or beyond."
again, surely they are kidding.
* "Detectives believe each bomber set the timer just before the train pulled into a station, dumped the bag on the floor and got off as the doors closed. The bombs exploded within 60 seconds in standing areas close to the doors"
all 3 bombs within 50 seconds of each other? id be more tempted to believe that the timers were set in advance, not contingent on the specifics of each train. and having been on the Tube way too often, i sure as hell wouldnt set the bomb to go off before i got to a station.
* "The former commissioner of the Metropolitan police, Lord Stevens, said yesterday that he believed the people who had carried out the attacks were "British born and bred, brought up here and totally aware of British life and values"" LINK
can someone explain this to me? *born* in britain? why the nonsense?
