luton bomb pics

* ""I believe that the explosives left in that car were left there for a second strike," said Bob Ayers, a London-based terrorism consultant with expertise in demolition. "But the metropolitan police responded so quickly, they were able to get to the car and take control of the car before the second team could get the explosives and leave."" link
yeah - so quick it only took 5 days.

here are the pictures of the bombs from the (leeds) car

some interesting questions:
1) they are at least 5 different types of bombs. i wonder if they are purpose built, or if the bombmaker just decided to demonstrate his/her flexibility. apparently there arent any economies of scale.
2 ) looking at the nails, its hard to imagine that Lindsay went and spent 900 squid on jpg perfume because of the metal packaging. (altho lindsay had the other car)
3) bombs with fuses arent suicide bombs

and some not-so-interesting questions:
4) is it standard practice to lay out all of the evidence on the ground? or would they take it back to the lab? (it probably made sense to take all the bombs out and photograph them in case the car blew up or something)
5) it kinda looks dark - if i was dealing with a car load of bombs, id want the place floodlit)
