the nearly-dead veep

* "Was Audience Silence Pre Arranged Or Sign Of Rejection?
Paula Zahn warned viewers that the speech would go over 30 minutes because of applause breaks. NPR, on Morning Edition, made a point of mentioning the lacking applause. The many articles on Google mentioning the quiet of the audience made no mention of some arrangement made to hold applause.Wouldn't the major stations been alerted about this arrangement in advance?" LINK

* "At the College Republicans' convention, Horowitz harped on his time-tested theme: "Universities are a base of the left. Universities are a base for terrorism."" LINK

* the claims that the iranian president was involved in 1979 sound completely fabricated. bastards. they simply wont let up. iran is toast.

* "In a more significant sign of the weakness of the President’s numbers, more “Red State” voters...now rate his job performance unfavorably, with 50% holding a negative impression of the President’s handling of his duties, and 48% holding a favorable view. The President also gets negative marks from one-in-four (25%) Republicans... more than two-in-five (42%) voters say that, if it is found that President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should hold him accountable through impeachment. While half (50%) of respondents do not hold this view, supporters of impeachment outweigh opponents in some parts of the country... Among President Bush’s fellow Republicans, a full one-in-four (25%) indicate they would favor impeaching the President under these circumstances" LINK

* arianna has more on the nearly-dead veep. LINK
blinky's impeachment will be so much more fun if the veep, um, retires. or expires.

* "Virginia Republican Sen. John Warner , the committee chairman, pressed the Pentagon to declassify information on progress of training Iraq's forces, considered a key indicator of when U.S. forces can return home." LINK
