iranian insanian in da cranium

* Christopher Hitchens: "The (Islamo-fascists) gave us no peace and we shouldn’t give them any. We can’t live on the same planet as them and I’m glad because I don’t want to. I don’t want to breathe the same air as these psychopaths and murders and rapists and torturers and child abusers. Its them or me. I’m very happy about this because I know it will be them. It’s a duty and a responsibility to defeat them. But it’s also a pleasure. I don’t regard it as a grim task at all." (from here)

* " A CIA report has determined with "relative certainty" that Iran's new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was not involved in the taking of U.S. hostages" (link)
no shit. meanwhile, cbs news ended their story by adding, helpfully, "although he probably knew those involved".

* "But after weeks of accusations against the new Iranian president, US intelligence reports are now emerging that show there is no evidence for this charge. The Washington Post cites US officials as saying that Ahmadinejad actually may have opposed the takeover because of fears about the neighboring Soviet Union. A US intelligence report also cites a speech by the new Iranian president from more than six years ago, in which he publicly challenged the wisdom of the takeover. One US official told The Post "There is relative certainty that he was not one of the actual captors." This story was on page 9 of Friday's post. Stories alleging Ahmadinejad was a hostage taker were front page news for several days after his election. " (link)

* foxnews is showing an ad for a program over the weekend about iran - i think its chris wallace, with mccain as guest. the ad is so appalling that im scared. "will tehran bomb us? should we bomb them first?"
