zogby impeachment question response

update: latest news here

------

you might remember that zogby did a poll in june on whether the Inappropriate Sniggerer should be impeached.

on june30, keith olbermann interviewed john zogby and keith asked him when the impeachment question would be asked again - zogby replied that he'd do it "periodically, probably in a month from now"

not surprisingly, i'd been waiting for the latest installment, and we didnt see it in the survey at the end of july. last week i sent zogby an email asking when it would be asked again.

yesterday i got the response:
"We'll skip the summer and get back to it in September. John Zogby"
its not obvious why they've decided to do that - but there you go...

there are more important questions that need to be asked - apparently the latest survey includes:
The Rolling Stones have just released a song that is highly critical of the Bush Administration. Some have suggested that musical artists should entertain and not delve into politics. Do you strongly agree, somewhat agree, somewhat disagree, or strongly agree that musicians should not bring politics into their acts?

Is rock and roll here to stay?

Who was most to blame for the break-up of the Beatles?

On a recent trip to the White House, several members of the Northwestern University women's lacrosse team wore flip-flops and open-toed sandals to meet with President Bush. Several individuals, including at least one athlete's mother, criticized the team for this behavior. Do you feel that flip-flops are appropriate attire for meeting with the President?

Do you prefer soft ice cream or hard ice cream?

What is your birth sign?

nonetheless, i look forward to the next time zogby asks the question - lets hope it is early in september - and lets hope they ask more specific/useful questions.

the original question was "should the President be impeached if he lied about Iraq?" - hopefully we'll see some followups like "do u think the president lied about iraq?" or "do u think the president should be impeached?"

that seems pretty straightforward.

ftr, im not beating up on zogby (much) - i'm just disappointed that they didnt followup when they had said they would. there was a lot of attention when his june pll came out - its just kind of surprising that they didnt ask the question again.

hopefully one of the other polling firms will ask the same question - although i wont hold my breath.

i'm pretty impressed that Zogby always responds to your emails. It's a good thing he's not a blogger.
