the other day, some wag in some comments somewhere observed that for Nolaeans, it was day 10 since the hurricane hit, but it was only day #8 for Blinky.
in honor of that, i'd like to nominate Wednesday September 14th as the real 4th anniversary for 91101.
over the last week, the media have been telling us how much of a take-charge, sleeves-up kinda guy the president was 'on' that horrible day - but of course, he didnt really 'take charge' until sep14 - when he had his 'famous' bullhorn moment.
given Blinky's propensity to turn up a few days late to national disasters, and then pretend that the cheerleader-in-chief is actually in charge, perhaps we ought ack
nowledge sep14, 2005 as blinky's 911 anniversary.
