* "The number of people who strongly approve of Bush's job performance has eroded over the last year, most notably among key groups like evangelical voters, down from 49 percent who strongly approved in January to 33 percent now; Republican men, down from 57 percent to 42 percent; Protestants, down from 36 percent to 25 percent; and Southerners, down from 32 percent to 22 percent." (link)

* emptywheel: "We don't need Karl to turn on Bush. We need Karl to turn on Libby. And Libby to turn on Karl. When they do that, fully and brutally, they'll take Cheney and Bush down with them." (link)

* "Why didn't the Rove e-mail (to hadley) surface earlier? The lawyer (luskin) says it's because an electronic search conducted by the White House missed it because the right "search words" weren't used. (The White House and Fitzgerald both declined to comment.) " (link)
lol

* did anyone see the story of the suicide bomber at OU? in what world isnt that a big story?

* everyone made mention of the obvious fact that IAEA/nobel thing was a slap at the Cheney administration. the other interesting part was that the neocons wanted to put ozzie foreign minister alexander downer at the head of the agency which is kinda disturbing. ill also add that 2 aussies won the medicine nobel which is pretty cool.

* headline of the day goes to greg mitchell: "As Aspens Turn: Deriding that 'Scooter'" at E&P (link)

* disconcerting 'hilight' from the server logs: someone googled "slash wrist +depth to cut" (for some reason im in the first 10 results)
