judy miller: wowser

* jay rozen: "Miller cannot recall where the name at the center of the case came from? Wowzer. Sure to be the center of controversy over the next week. Claiming memory loss about the most important fact in the story is weak. Miller actually subtracts from public knowledge in this part, which is a feat. " (link)

* Lambert on the media silence wrt WHIG: "And the reason it seems like they were all in on it, is that they were all in on it. All the Kewl Kidz, and all the media whores. The Beltway 500 crowd is dirty—Not all of them, but a percentage at the top of the dominance heirarchy" (link)

* simbaud picks up a great point - a recent poll (however flawed) showed that Blinky's approval rating amongst blacks was 2% - and the fitzgerald grandjury has 11 black people out of fifteen. kerfuckingching! (link)

* " Judith Miller, who spent 85 days in jail protecting her source in the recent CIA leak investigation, will take an indefinite leave of absence effective immediately." (link)

* redhedd: "Why would Miller lie to her editor, Taubman, when he asked if she was one of the journalist to whom disclosure was made about Plame that were reported in the WaPo? If she had, indeed, been trying to get Abramson to let her write a story about Wilson and his wife, and had told Abramson that she had sources on the story, why then turn around and lie to Taubman and say that no one from the WH had told her about Plame? That makes absolutely no logical sense and just paints her as a big liar."
