judy miller's Secret Service logs

* joseph cannon weighs in on bob fertik's phonecall with rhandi rhodes about our poll - "Is this such a smart move tactically? Do we want close races for the House to turn into referendums on impeachment? Would injecting impeachment as an issue into the various races hurt or help Democratic candidates?" (link)

* james moore takes a look at rove's role in the niger forgeries et al (link)

* "Judith Miller told the federal grand jury in the CIA leak case that she might have met with I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby on June 23, 2003 only after prosecutors showed her Secret Service logs that indicated she and Libby had indeed met that day in the Executive Office Building... Libby also did not disclose the June 23 meeting to investigators and the grand jury until he was pressed on the issue." (link)

* the pittsburgh post-gazette has an odd op-ed by Dan Simpson, a retired U.S. ambassador:
" U.S. military and Bush administration civilian officials confirmed last week that U.S. forces have invaded Syria and engaged in combat with Syrian forces."
wtf?? ive long suspected that they would soon be spilling over the borders - but this is incredible. and scary.
