clinton: finish the inspection process

* another funny thing that i love to watch happen is when the whitehouse goes to considerable effort to produce talkingpoints to refute one charge or other - but the resultant talking points actually dont actually 'refute' anything. the TP's they distributed about JoeWilson way back when was a classic example.

lately, the WH has been responding to actual specific newspaper articles and editorials (!) and posting the response on the WH website. yesterday they responded to an NYT ed, and the WH attempts to make the case that Clinton thought that invading iraq was a great idea - here's the evidence that the WH offers to back up their claim:

Clinton: "So I thought the President had an absolute responsibility to go to the U.N. and say, 'Look, guys, after 9/11, you have got to demand that Saddam Hussein lets us finish the inspection process."

brilliant. that's their argument.
