iran's 'nuclear' 'program'

* emptywheel takes a good shot at dissing the american attempt to drum up war in iran by selling shoddy intelligence, again. i cant believe they are still trying to have a new war!

in any case, this quote from the NYT is particularly disconcerting:
"The United States rarely shares raw intelligence outside a small circle of close allies. But it decided to disseminate a shortened version of the secret warhead briefing. Mr. Joseph and his colleagues presented it to the president of Ghana and to officials from Argentina, Sri Lanka, Tunisia and Nigeria, among other nations."
incredible. Argentina, Sri Lanka, Tunisia and Nigeria??? wtf?

(note Jehl's "raw intelligence" - which basically means "someone told us something and we havent verified it")

as for me, i reckon one disastrous war sold on lies is sufficient.
