the australian govt is a bunch of right wing hacks - and they have been trying to dismantle the backbone of the country's Industrial Relations. I havent been following it much - but yesterday there was a major strike & rally around the country - apparently the largest ever such demonstration.
the murdoch counter-spin was (literally): 'yeah, there were big demonstrations - but not *all* workers turned up to demonstrate'
