you are still a war criminal if you commit war crimes

* wolcott: "Questioning the patriotism of the war's critics isn't going to work because a majority of Americans now share that criticism and don't think of themselves as unpatriotic. Bush's counteroffensives are no longer effective because he's lost the confidence of the American people: they've had it with this guy."

* and yep, Josh Marchall is fed up to HERE: "What a sorry, sorry, unfortunate president -- caught in his lies, his half-truths, his reckless disregard ... caught with, well ... caught with time. Time has finally caught up to him. And now he doesn't have the popularity to beat back all the people trying to call him to account. He could; but now he can't. So he's caught. And his best play is to accuse his critics of rewriting history, of playing fast and loose with the truth -- a sad, pathetic man."

* here's a headline i missed at fitzmas time "Arraigndrops Keep Falling On My Head" thnx hunter.

* "In any case, there is no exception under the Nuremberg principles for "tricking your political opponents"--you are still a war criminal if you commit war crimes, no matter which of your peers you can fool into joining you." (link)

* btw - with Blinky and Cheney's numbers in the tank, when will some aspiring pollster take it upon themselves to survey the popularity of other egadministration officials? Rumsfeld? probably Cheney level. Condi the anti-c.rice? probably high - for no reason - but at least her high numbers would enable the rest of us to point out that she is a complete failure - and maybe her numbers will tank. or perhaps just reminding everyone that she is in the same cabal of cheney and bush and rumsfeld will drag down her numbers. and if that doesnt work, i want her name figured prominently in a list of folks nominated by the Idiot Son - with flanigan, gonzales, bolton, miers et al

* the other day i mentioned that Fox actually used the term Global Warming - i nearly fell off my chair - turns out they did a *major* piece on it sunday - i didnt really watch it but i had it on in the background, and they actually seemed to be serious! bobby kennedy jr described it thusly: "The portrayal of global warming in Fox’s piece is both fair and accurate... The Fox News team did a superb job exploring the science. This film should be seen be everyone." what an amazing world we live in.
