casa del cards

* ive asked a couple of times in the last few days about the egadministration's media strategy with respect to the nsa spy scandal. as i see it, there are three conceivable options:
1. they didnt have a plan at all, despite having some advance warning.
2. some of the previous spying leaks in the last month have been a form of inoculation for this current episode
3. this latest episode is not the endgame, but is actually part of an inoculation program for an even bigger bombshell thats yet to come.
the thing is - they knew in advance that this story was coming out, and they are masterful at handling crisis and therefore probably werent just sitting there holding their breath and waiting for the nyt to publish. we know they even sent the president in - so they must have been developing strategies for how to manage the issue. yet, as best as we can tell, they didnt do anything - which is why ive listed two more alternatives - neither of which seem to make sense particularly - but what other explanation do we have for the observed behaviour in this situation?

maybe they are all too busy being worried about going to jail and are simply off their game. if they are that far off their game, we should be in for a helluva month. these guys can barely skate through when they are at the peak of their ingenius game - they cant afford to be running at 80% - the casa del cards will collapse.
