how can we trust the Bible?

* the Hill takes a look at the companies behind Duke Cunningscam and finds very little there, as per joe cannon

* "The ACLU has filed a lawsuit against former CIA Director George Tenet alleging that Khaled El-Masri was illegally kidnapped, detained and tortured." (link)

* " Conservative activist Beverly LaHaye, a biblical literalist who is president of Concerned Women for America, puts the matter directly: "If the biblical account of creation in Genesis isn't true, how can we trust the rest of the Bible?"" (link)
good lordy.

* further to my rant about the human grinder: " The witness described what happened in his town after an attempted assassination of Saddam there. He testified to mass executions and torture, including what he described as a human meat grinder. Though he was imprisoned and tortured himself, he acknowledged under questioning that he didn't see much of what he testified to." (link)

* wapo ed slams condi: "IN AN ATTEMPT to quell a growing storm in Europe over the CIA's secret prisons, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice yesterday issued a defense based on the same legalistic jujitsu and morally obtuse double talk that led the Bush administration into a swamp of human rights abuses in the first place." (link)

* "And in London, the former Law Lord and judge Lord Steyn said that "if British authorities knew the nature of these flights they would be guilty of war crimes"." (link)

* donnie fowler has a piece about impeachpac over at huffpo

* headline of the day: "Shoe(t)ing at Allawi" (link)
