Weiss, Chalabi and Ashcroft

Further to my post on Weiss/BKSH/Chalabi, i note that Juleanna Glover Weiss works for The Ashcroft Group. That is John Ashcroft's lobbying company. (link)

Weiss's husband now works at BKSH on the Chalabi account - but previously he "handl(ed) former Senator John Ashcroft's successful nomination for Attorney General."

hmmm - so now Ashcroft is working for Chalabi. I'm not sure i ever thought i'd see that.

Juleanna has a history of working with GOP hacks and Movementarians:

"Washington power hostess Juleanna Glover Weiss, a longtime GOP operative-turned-lobbyist, is leaving highly regarded Clark & Weinstock to set up shop with former senator and attorney general John D. Ashcroft.

Glover Weiss has handled policy or communications jobs for Ashcroft (back in his Senate days), Steve Forbes, Dan Quayle, Spencer Abraham, Phyllis Schlafly, Jesse Helms and Rudy Giuliani, and she was Veep Dick Cheney's flack until early 2002. Ashcroft's consulting operation is called the Ashcroft Group. She is joining longtime Ashcroft chief of staff David Ayres, who is a principal of the firm."

She also has some Iraq experience: "At Clark & Weinstock, Glover Weiss "helped the Iraqi Governing Council's U.S. rep on 'messaging' and planned overall strategies for meetings with Administration officials, members of Congress/staffers and reporters," reported O'Dwyer's PR Daily." (link)

Other Ashcroft Group clients include Choicepoint and some accouting body (which Weiss brought over from C&W).

In any case, my point is that both Weisses worked for Cheney and the RNC, and now they are both working for Chalabi. Him though BKSH, and her through Ashcroft's company.
