* i dont pretend to very much about the kurdish/turkish relationship, but i do know one thing: there's an awful lot of lobbying money available to each party and its nearly impossible to read any op-ed on (either side of) the issue that doesnt reek of payola.
i imagine that many of the authors are on an abramoff-type gravy train. take this for example in the washington times by Tulin Daloglu. Perhaps Feith and Perle are paying writers for their Turkish client.
Note that there are two levels of payola - both the journalist, and the allocation of the op-ed space.
the whole kurdistan story looks like it is exploding - and my guess it will be impossible to begin sorting through the spin.
