amy goodman interviews

* amy goodman interviews murray waas re his recent NJ/Libby?cheney article

* amy also interviewed the director of Why We Fight - which is also kinda fascinating. one snippet: "EUGENE JARECKI: Yes. Eisenhower’s family appears in the film, and they talk about this speech and why he made it, and what it was about, and yes, they do reveal that in the early drafts of the speech, the formulation was “military-industrial-congressional complex,” because Eisenhower, as President, was keenly aware of the central role played by Congress in making possible the aspirations of the military-industrial elites. Without the help of Congress, where would the money come from?"
today of course, we add 'media' to the formulation

* glenn: "Tim Russert, for some oh-so-indiscernible reason, demanded that Barak Obama opine about the recent anti-Bush comments of Harry Belafonte while visiting Venezuela -- a far less important figure than the best-selling Coulter in a far less important venue than the CPAC event. Shouldn’t Russert ask every GOP guest, beginning this Sunday with Pat Roberts, whether they approve of Coulter’s remarks? You can e-mail Russert here and demand that he do so."

i think he's punishment should be that he has to have at least one conversation with a non-famous black person every year.
