Kath Armstong: "encouraged to tell the truth"

* froomkin is all about cheney again. this quote is perhaps the most telling:
"Ms. Armstrong said she faxed a detailed account to deputies on Wednesday at the sheriff's request. She said she would have done so sooner if she'd been asked and added that everyone at the ranch has been encouraged to tell the truth about the shooting."
hmmm - by my book, you dont say that unless it's not true... why would people be 'encouraged to tell the truth'?

* wolcott: "I have it on excellent authority that future Vice Presidential motorcades will include not only the ambulance that currently follows Mr. Cheney around wherever he weaves, but a state-of-the-art hearse in case he kills someone during recreation period and rapid removal and burial is required. The deathmobile will be driven by a young Republican chosen at random from Ken Mehlman's bobsled team."

* larisa: "I guess we all grieve in different ways. I mean some of us might cringe at the prospect of destroying national security as payback to one political critic over the concerns of the rest of the nation."
does she really mean that? or has that meme become so embedded into the psyche that it just rolls off the keyboard? even larisa? arghhhhhhhhhh

* clemons thinks cheney was lying when he said to Hume that the executive order gives him the right to declassify
