Osama video

* in response to my post yesterday about the OBL video on the eve of the US election, oldshool points to an article by william arkin in the wapo from early 1999 where arkin says that the military already had the technology to create such fake videos. funny how we don't hear about that technology any more. olschool adds "a) If Bin Laden were ever captured or killed, at least on-record, that trick wouldn't work any more, would it?" to which i'll add that if OBL was alive, he could refute that the videos were him.

* damien has put together a good list of reasons why he thinks 911 was an inside job - and he promises much more which he'll post on his own blog when he gets off his bum and does some work. damien knows more about this stuff than anyone. (actually, i've just noticed that damien has already been sneakily working away on his own blog without telling us. if you hurry over there you can take a sneaky glimpse in his not-quite-meant-for-public-consumption efforts)
