* here's rimone on the torture pix at salon - after fighting so long for their release, i wasnt feeling strong enough to look at them today. i probably wont be tomorrow either.

* TPM Muckraker points to my investigation into the pakistan/911comm lobbyists/bribery story

* "U.S. forces, joined by Iraqi troops, on Thursday launched the largest air assault since the U.S.-led invasion, targeting women & children insurgent strongholds north of the capital, the military said.
"More than 1,500 Iraqi and Coalition troops, over 200 tactical vehicles, and more than 50 aircraft participated in the operation," the military statement said of the attack designed to "clear a suspected insurgent operating area northeast of Samarra," 60 miles north of Baghdad." (link)

* (bloggy stuff) does everyone still hate the wider columns in the blog? unless i hear some positive comments about it i'll put it back to the original skinny version later today

It's right up to the left edge of the screen in Firefox--maybe indent it 5 - 10 spaces? A happy medium sort of compromise?

Yep, since the widening, and it's butted right up against the left side of the screen, I can't see all of the "8" in the timestamp for your comment...
