'untranslated secret iraqi documents'

* foxnews keep pushing the newly released 'untranslated secret iraqi documents' that the USG is releasing for the 'arabic-speaking blogosphere' - yeah yeah. i wonder what we find in there. a smoking gun perhaps? courtesy of the INC's fabrication factory?

* hilite from the server logs - someone from the LATimes searching for "robert livingstone turkey" - which took them here- hopefully they can learn something

* brithume et al were debating 'immigration reform' - fred barnes is horrified about any form of amnesty BECAUSE THEY BROKE THE LAW. (i wonder how that correlates with his views on, say, the FISA 'infractions', or scooter libby, or illegal invasions, or torture, or, or or). TalcumPowder Barnes also thinks that repugs want 'illegal aliens' to stay cos its good for business, while dems want then to stay cos they'll vote for dems...

* (thnx to anon) - there's a interview of bolton on BBC's HardTalk (one of my fave shows). I havent seen this one yet. Hardtalk had Karpinski (from AbuG) this week, and elliot spitzer yesterday. HT is the only show i know where you actually get 30mins of one-on-one interview time. (the new host isnt as good as his predecessor - but i still recommend you keep an eye out for HardTalk

Of course, that's the whole purpose of releasing docs with no official translation. All you have to do is change a word here or there to change the entire meaning of a memo. This will be fodder for right wing propoganda for months, maybe years to come. Fortunately, most of the American people have tuned out by now.

of course miguel

they wont even need t ohave to change anything - im sure they planted stuff in some conspicuous place so it'll be found soon.

remember the george galloway et al documents that were found in the only room in some building that hadnt been torched...
