can Bushco file for moral bankruptcy?

* "Senator Pat Roberts, a Kansas Republican and chairman of the intelligence committee, praised the move and called for leakers to be prosecuted "to the fullest extent of the law."" (link)
i suggest that mr roberts starts doing some oversight "to the fullest extent of the congress" - he's barely started looking at iraq, and hopes to maybe one day look at iran.

* digby: "America seems to be waking up to the fact that stolen elections, bogus recalls, movie stars and guys you want to have a beer with don't actually add up to leadership. If they can be wised up to the fact that tax cuts for billionaires don't actually benefit them, then we might be getting someplace."

* jeralyn: "The Timesonline (U.K.) reports Republicans are asking Bush to dump Dick Cheney and replace him with Condoleeza Rice... Hogwash. If Cheney steps down, I think it's for one reason -- he's expecting a knock on the door any time from Patrick Fitzgerald."
i love it when she talks dirty.

* desi: "I don't know, does it really matter which lying liar is the VP? Although, it might be just the stage Condi needs to announce a run for POTUS in '08. This would leave bush with the dilemma of who to fill the Sec.of State slot. Rush Limbaugh? Ann Coulter? Wile E. Coyote?"

* comments from fdl: "I wonder, can Bushco file for moral bankruptcy now that they overhauled the bankruptcy laws?I mean, Will they have to pay something back?"
and
"Hmmm. I heard a theory a while ago that believing in Bush is a lot like believing in Santa Claus. Once you stop believing, you really can’t go back."
and:
" Tomorrow’s headline: “Cheney hits old man in the face with a nuke”."
