Froomkin was LiveOnline:Not long after the rumors that Snow was getting the job began circulating in Washington, so did the jokes about whether after working for Fox News for so many years Snow should get back pay from the White House. But beyond the snarky implication that Fox News has become the semi-official network of the Republican Party lies the reality that Fox has been far more successful than the White House communications office at packaging a vision in which Bush is a hero.
So is it possible that the hiring of Snow represents the embracing of the Fox News approach, which is to preach effectively to the converted and not worry about the rest?"
Munich, Germany: I've only read about a recent 60 Minutes episode in the British press (Bush was warned there were no WMD, says former CIA man).
Has there been any fallout regarding the CIA's former European chief's comments that Bush was informed before the war that there were no WMD in Iraq?
Dan Froomkin: Amazingly little. I found the 60 Minutes segment on Tyler Drumheller fascinating, and wrote about it at some length in my Monday column.
The New York Times ran a short story on Saturday. But not a word in most other places, including The Washington Post.
And I can't possibly explain why.

Is he kidding? I would have thought that Froomkin would DESPISE most of his peers by now.
Bush says Rumsfeld is doing a great job and the response from the media is basically silence.
One of the main stories since 9/11 is the downfall of the US media.
I predict the WH correspondents will grill Snow...not because they have realized the WH is a crime syndicate but because of personal ego issues...ie..."How dare Tony treat us like we are stupid. Sure, McClellan and Fleisher did it for years but that was different."
it was an odd comment by froomkin - i'm not sure if he was being snarky or what...
the media has been appalling - i wonder how bad it was before 911. they trashed Gore, and didnt care about the stolen 2000 election....
Nor the stolen 2004 election or the dodgy 2005 Ohio referenda. Not even the recent fake al Zarqawi video. Their still fixated on little blue dresses.
i'm kinda fond of little blue dresses too
